African Frontier Capital is an impact investment company providing working capital to off-grid solar providers in Africa. Their challenge was to automate the ingestion and analysis of vast amounts of contract and payment data from on-the-ground vendors, a process that was previously manual, time-consuming, and prone to error when handled in Excel. DotModus was engaged to address this challenge.

DotModus implemented a solution using Google Cloud Functions and BigQuery to automatically process files uploaded to Google Cloud Storage. This automated pipeline analyzes contract data to calculate values and track payment history. As a result, African Frontier Capital can now quickly and accurately select contracts to sponsor and monitor existing ones, with data readily available for reporting. DotModus delivered the key objectives of automation, speed, and data accuracy.
