Leveraging Informatics and Modeling Tools to Develop a Comprehensive Design Make and Test platform

LifeArc is a UK medical research charity focused on turning early-stage science into diagnostics and treatments across diverse therapeutic areas and modalities. Faced with varied data from small-molecule and biologics discovery, external CROs and public databases, and a need to protect IP and capture ideation, LifeArc required a flexible informatics platform. They selected Dotmatics — using Dotmatics Browser, Bioregister and Blueprint (with microservices, Chemselector and VR integrations) — to unify data, register entities and support design–make–test workflows.

Dotmatics implemented an integrated solution connecting LifeArc’s data warehouse to Browser for project views, automating clone registration into Bioregister from NGS pipelines, and injecting calculated properties and ML models into Blueprint (including a VR design environment). The Dotmatics platform made a 250k-compound HT screening set and antibody discovery data accessible in one place, sped routine tasks (saving scientists time), enabled automated IP-safe entity registration and reuse of data for predictive models, and energized collaborative ideation and compound design across the organisation.
