Increasing Research Throughput with an ELN for Chemists and Biologists

Lead Pharma, a drug discovery company focused on small‑molecule therapeutics for cancer and autoimmune diseases, faced rapidly growing assay throughput and the limitations of paper laboratory notebooks and mixed‑media workflows. To support both chemistry and biology functions and to integrate with their internal project database, Lead Pharma selected Dotmatics and its Studies Notebook ELN (and additionally licensed Dotmatics Vortex for advanced analytics).

Dotmatics implemented its web‑based Studies Notebook integrated with Lead Pharma’s chemistry database and deployed Vortex for visualization and SAR/sequence analysis. The solution removed manual transcriptions, enabled digital countersigning and searchable historical data, simplified workflows via templates and experiment cloning, and freed scientists to focus on research — allowing Lead Pharma to sustain its increased program pace and perform more advanced data analytics using Dotmatics.
