A Dotmatics Case Study
MEDINA, a non-profit research organization focused on natural products microbiology and drug discovery, needed to coordinate multiple research collaborations and improve experiment management, time-to-results, and workflow efficiency across infectious disease, oncology and other programs. To address this, MEDINA selected Dotmatics and implemented Dotmatics’ Studies Notebook electronic laboratory notebook (ELN) to provide a compliant, collaborative platform for recording and sharing scientific data.
Dotmatics delivered a web-based, flexible ELN that covers all scientific disciplines in a single interface, with fully searchable fields, user-controlled security, and optional modules (e.g., Register and Biology) to support end-to-end workflows. The Dotmatics solution created a real‑time collaborative environment, improved experiment tracking and efficiency, and delivered the “significant technological improvements” MEDINA sought to accelerate its drug discovery processes.
