Twiddy & Company, a 37‑year Outer Banks vacation rental manager, faced the challenge of securely managing temporary access to dozens of oceanfront properties that endure heavy wear and are often remote. To replace legacy locks and simplify guest, vendor, and housekeeping access, Twiddy adopted dormakaba’s Oracode electronic keyless access system and later upgraded to Oracode Live.

dormakaba’s Oracode Live, integrated with BeHome247, enabled Twiddy to generate and send time‑specific codes remotely, receive real‑time arrival and system alerts, and automate status updates for housekeeping. The solution has been rolled out to 125 properties, lets staff and vendors receive and send codes from smartphones, and streamlines operations by alerting teams when homes become vacant—improving access management and guest service while withstanding harsh oceanfront conditions.
