The Emirates Arena - Customer Case Study

The Emirates Arena in Glasgow, built for the 2014 Commonwealth Games and home to the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, needed robust entrance solutions to cope with an exposed site, large spectator flows and the challenge of limiting noise, dirt, drafts and heat loss. dormakaba was engaged to supply door systems for the venue, including KTV Revolving Doors and ED 100/250 A automatic swing door operators, to meet those operational and environmental requirements.

dormakaba’s KTV revolving doors create a lobby that reduces noise, dirt and drafts and—critically—limits warm air loss and cold air intake, helping to lower the building’s energy consumption and costs. dormakaba also installed ED 100 series automatic swing door operators as emergency exits and pass doors (plus several side exits), delivering controlled access for up to 3,000 spectators while improving comfort and operational efficiency.
