Queen Creek Library needed to meet a 2007 Town of Queen Creek policy requiring municipal buildings over 5,000 sq ft to achieve minimum LEED standards while also providing a safe, secure community hub. Contractor CORE Construction Services selected dormakaba architectural hardware for internal and external doorways — including surface door closers, exit devices, stops and holders, and locksets — to support the project’s green and security requirements.

As a result, the Queen Creek Library, which opened in November 2008 as the first building completed under the new policy, met the town’s LEED requirements and benefited from durable, secure access solutions.
