Maison Relais, Born faced a major refurbishment and extension to meet new energy-efficiency and fire-safety regulations for its multi-use community centre used by children, schools and clubs. Architects Witry+Witry specified discreet, high-quality door technology and turned to dormakaba to provide hardware that would preserve the building’s spatial quality while meeting safety and accessibility requirements.

dormakaba supplied recessed free‑swing door closers (ITS 96 FL and TS 99 FL) and a heavy‑duty ED 250 automatic swing door operator for the large double entrance. The concealed closers maintain aesthetic integrity while ensuring fire-door performance, and the ED 250 handles doors up to 400 kg and 1,600 mm wide with Power Assist to enable barrier‑free access — delivering user-friendly operation, fire protection and a single-source installation solution.
