Interconnected Locks Add Convenience and Security to Credit Union

Logix Federal Credit Union, a California-based credit union, faced labor-intensive, insecure code management across its branches: locks allowed only nine users, codes were shared in envelopes, and reprogramming required costly locksmith visits. To solve this, Logix selected dormakaba’s Axessor IP Electronic Combination Safe Lock to modernize access control and centralize management.

dormakaba implemented networked Axessor IP locks (with optional eBox) to enable remote programming, auditing and centralized control across Logix’s 17 branches. The solution increased per-lock capacity to manage up to 40 user codes, delivered remote audit trails (up to 10,000 events), eliminated service and locksmith charges, and removed administrative burden from branch managers—results dormakaba says were pivotal during COVID-19 for quickly reassigning users and maintaining security.
