Museum Hotel Oxford, a luxury ten-room hotel housed in a 16th Century building in central Oxford, faced the challenge of providing modern, secure keyless access while integrating with its online reservation system. The hotel selected dormakaba and its Oracode solution to deliver a contemporary access experience without compromising the building’s period character.

dormakaba implemented the web-based Oracode platform, integrating with the hotel’s booking system to issue time‑sensitive PINs with automatic start and expiry tied to each stay. The solution enabled 24/7 unmanned check-in, required little to no on‑premise IT change, and gave staff the ability to remotely generate and send codes—making Museum Hotel Oxford the first UK hotel of its kind to use this integration and improving operational efficiency and guest security.
