Agility Robotics achieves under 10 ms low-latency robot communications with Doodle Labs

Agility Robotics required a robust wireless communication solution for its bipedal Digit robot to operate reliably in RF-dense and complex warehouse environments. The challenge involved ensuring low-latency control, telemetry, and video streaming where commercial radios failed. To meet this need, they partnered with Doodle Labs and integrated its RM-1700 series Mesh Rider Radios.

The solution from Doodle Labs involved embedding dual-band radios (900 MHz and 2.4 GHz) into Digit, providing resilient connectivity with automatic fallback. This implementation resulted in reliable real-world deployment, with sub-10ms latency, stable video feeds, and fewer communication blind spots. Doodle Labs' radios enabled Agility Robotics to expand deployability, reduce reliance on fixed infrastructure, and lay a foundation for future multi-robot mesh coordination.
