Case Study: AEVEX Aerospace achieves resilient multi-domain mesh connectivity with Doodle Labs Mesh Rider Radios

A Doodle Labs Case Study

Aevex Aerospace achieves 11.6 Mbps encrypted mesh connectivity with Doodle Labs

Aevex Aerospace, a leader in tactical ISR and unmanned systems, needed a single, software-defined radio platform capable of secure, long-range, low-latency communication across its diverse portfolio of air, land, and sea platforms. The challenge was to find a solution that could operate in dynamic RF conditions, enable multi-node mesh networking, and fit into the tight size, weight, and power (SWaP) constraints of systems like loitering munitions and Group 2 UAS.

Doodle Labs implemented its Mesh Rider Radios, specifically the RM-2025-62M3 (Mini) and RM-2025-62W3 (Wearable) models, to create a unified communications backbone. This solution enabled real-time ISR, autonomous teaming, and precision targeting, with results including reliable communication up to 328 km line-of-sight, latency under 10 ms, and seamless handoffs between mobile control stations. Doodle Labs' radios provided AEVEX with a resilient, multi-domain network that reduced integration time and unlocked new mission profiles.
