To support this, Flick Electric Co. used Donut’s buddy pairing system alongside its onboarding checklist to automatically match new hires with a buddy in Slack and encourage cross-team connections. Donut helped make onboarding more collaborative and welcoming, while giving employees early exposure to the company culture and customer experience; Flick reported that it worked well as one of the first formal parts of onboarding, though no specific quantitative results were provided.
