A DonorPerfect Case Study
Hillel at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, which serves over 5,000 Jewish students and supports more than 30 student organizations, needed a larger facility to replace its outdated 1956 building. Leadership faced the dual challenge of raising $14 million for construction (plus a $3 million endowment and relocation funds) while continuing to fund daily programs and operations.
By using DonorPerfect to centralize donor data, segment prospects, track solicitations and integrate with tools like WealthEngine and Microsoft Access, UW Hillel targeted top prospects and new donor cohorts through parlor meetings, mailings, telemarketing and digital outreach. The strategy helped them raise the $14 million for the new building, quadruple their donor database, achieve a record ~2,500 gifts in a year, and maintain funding for regular activities while progressing toward the $3 million endowment.
