How YASU uses custom fundraising campaigns to support 1,000 young adult cancer survivors

Young Adult Survivors United (YASU) is a Pittsburgh-based nonprofit founded by Stephanie Samolovitch to provide emotional, social, and financial support for cancer survivors ages 18 to 45. As the organization grew, its original fundraising setup with PayPal became inconvenient for donors who wanted more flexible ways to give, including donating without creating an account or giving in honor of someone.

YASU switched to Donorbox to build customized fundraising campaigns and improve its donation forms with features like suggested amounts, in-memory designations, recurring donations, and campaign tracking. With Donorbox, YASU launched six campaigns in 18 months, raised over $8,000 in under two months for the Adam Marks Memorial Fund, brought in more than $15,000 for Pittsburgh Oncology Patient Aid, and met a fundraising goal by selling 50 window clings. Donorbox helped YASU make giving easier, track results, and tie donations directly to specific causes.
