How BAM gets more out of Peer-to-Peer campaigns with Donorbox

Build a Miracle (BAM), a nonprofit founded in 2001 to fight poverty in Tijuana, Mexico, relied on peer-to-peer and crowdfunding campaigns to support home builds and scholarships. But with supporters using external tools like GoFundMe, Facebook, and PayPal, BAM struggled to capture donor contact information, maintain donor relationships, and send immediate tax receipts.

With Donorbox, BAM moved peer-to-peer fundraising onto a single platform that automatically collected donor data, sent instant receipts, and connected donors to its newsletter. As a result, Donorbox helped BAM raise nearly $33,000 through peer-to-peer campaigns and more than a quarter of a million dollars total on the platform, while also improving donor engagement and helping BAM grow to over 500 homes built, 540 scholarships awarded, and 150 small businesses supported.
