CAE USA Sees Insight Take Flight Thanks to Domo

CAE USA, the Tampa-based arm of CAE’s Defense & Security business and the world’s largest aviation training company (5,000+ employees, $2.4B revenue), needed to increase data awareness and control across a complex, highly regulated organization. Teams originally used disparate tools for business development, finance and engineering, leaving the company with billions of underused data rows, limited visibility into usage and access, slow forecasting and training tracking, and a need for better project oversight.

By rolling out Domo to roughly 300 regular users (about 75 power users), CAE implemented role-based security and metadata visibility, CourseBuilder training with analytics, real-time project and sprint dashboards, and exception alerts. These changes secured sensitive data, improved training and access workflows, let managers proactively address workload issues, and cut a major ETL flow from 21 hours to 17 minutes—delivering faster insights, company-wide data awareness and “absolute visibility” into operations.
