Allstate, a leading insurer serving more than 16 million households, leaned on its 300+ person D3 analytics organization to speed up decisions across pricing, marketing, and claims — specifically to help 17,000 adjusters resolve claims faster. Rapid R&D growth exposed tool and infrastructure bottlenecks: slow access to environments, scattered work with no version control or audit trail, difficulty testing models with field users, and delays responding to regulatory inquiries.

Allstate piloted and rolled out the Domino data science platform, which gave one-click access to R/Python/SAS environments, reproducible project artifacts, and secure ways to share apps with adjusters; within two months projects on Domino expanded from three to 26. The result was faster model development and onboarding, quicker claim resolution, stronger governance and auditability for regulators, and more experimentation that improved customer experiences and operational efficiency.
