Ride for a Reason - Customer Case Study

Ride for a Reason is a long-running Bikeathon organized by the Claremont Middle School PTA that benefits seven Oakland public schools and has raised nearly $1 million over the last decade. Facing the challenge of running large-scale peer-to-peer fundraising across a diverse community, the PTA needed a way to combine traditional pledge forms with secure online giving, recruit and retain sponsors, and fund programs that address academic, social, and mental-health needs for students speaking 20+ languages.

The PTA adopted DoJiggy’s crowdfunding and pledge-form tools to give participants personal fundraising pages, printable pledge forms, social-sharing links, registration and reporting features, and sponsor recognition pages. By starting early and using these tools, the team sustained year‑round donor engagement, secured sponsor support, and continued to fund math aides, librarians, after‑school programs, mental‑health services, and classroom resources—contributing to measurable gains in reading and math while keeping organizers and supporters connected and informed.
