My New Red Shoes - Customer Case Study

My New Red Shoes is a Bay Area nonprofit that helps homeless children start the school year with brand‑new clothing and shoes while educating the community about family homelessness. To fund and publicize annual events—a back‑to‑school fashion show and a walk‑a‑thon—the organization must mobilize schools, volunteers and sponsors despite having no media budget and working on a tight timeline and limited resources.

They used targeted community outreach, board‑driven corporate sponsorships and social media alongside the Dojiggy platform for registration and personal fundraising pages, which broadened giving beyond event attendees and kept costs low. In its 4th year the approach paid off: about 700 participants, more than $38,000 raised (exceeding the goal), and a stronger, more visible event footprint year over year.
