How LivePerson manages hundreds of microservices with Kubernetes

LivePerson, a U.S.-based SaaS provider behind the LiveEngage real-time messaging platform, needed a better way to manage hundreds of microservices at enterprise scale. As its services grew, deployment and delivery became increasingly complex, and the team wanted a hybrid-cloud approach that would be transparent for developers while reducing the operational burden of running production workloads.

To address this, LivePerson worked with DoiT International to implement Kubernetes on Google Kubernetes Engine. DoiT International provided a Kubernetes roadmap and ongoing workshops to guide the rollout, enabling independent teams to run applications without heavy DevOps support. The result was simpler cluster management, autoscaling that saved LivePerson hundreds of thousands of dollars per year, and a foundation for future use of Google Cloud data services.
