Apester, a digital media company helping publishers and brands create mobile-friendly interactive stories, was growing rapidly and needed a more scalable, flexible data and BI stack. Its existing system was becoming expensive and limiting the types of analytics it could run, so it turned to DoiT International and Google Cloud Platform services such as BigQuery, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Dataproc, and Cloud Bigtable to support its data needs.

With DoiT International helping Apester move to a fully managed Google Cloud architecture, the company migrated its infrastructure to Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Pub/Sub, Stackdriver, and IAM, while continuing to expand its analytics and ML capabilities with BigQuery, Cloud Natural Language APIs, and TensorFlow. The results were significant: Apester tripled its customer base, delivered more than 3.5 billion story experiences in 2017, cut infrastructure costs by 50%, reduced deployment time from about four hours to under a minute, and lowered latency by half.
