A Dogtown Media Case Study
Moffitt Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, needed mobile smoking cessation apps to support two NCI-funded randomized clinical trials for special populations, including food pantry clients and people with HIV. The center turned to Dogtown Media to develop iOS and Android interventions that could deliver personalized, theory-based treatment at scale.
Dogtown Media designed and built the apps with user research, wireframes, interactive prototypes, front-end development, and backend systems integrated with a REDCap clinical database. The solution delivered weekly surveys, customized video content, push notifications, and bilingual support in English and Spanish, and it has been successfully deployed in both ongoing smoking cessation trials.
