Community Empowerment Lαβ works to reduce maternal and newborn mortality in Uttar Pradesh, India, where an estimated 240,000 newborns die each year from preventable causes. The organization needed a scalable, easy-to-use data collection system to gather input from a community of over one million people and replace slow, error-prone paper and ICR processes—requirements that led them to select doForms’ mobile forms solution for its offline capabilities, referential lookup and affordability.

doForms implemented mobile forms with features like Dispatch, Sync & Save, lookup tables, GPS tagging and validation checks, enabling roughly 200 women with no prior tech experience to collect high-quality field data on tablets. The doForms deployment improved data accuracy and drastically cut turnaround time from collection to analysis, accelerating interventions and policy changes that have already impacted thousands and could save and improve millions of lives.
