DelAgua uses doForms to Help Ensure Safer Drinking Water for Millions

DelAgua, a long-standing manufacturer and distributor of water testing kits working in more than 150 countries, faced the challenge of scaling large public-health programs—distributing and tracking household water filters and cookstoves in western Rwanda and testing thousands of public drinking sources in West Bengal, India—while meeting strict accountability and auditor requirements (including UN carbon credit documentation) and handling massive, time-sensitive field data collection. To do this they needed a mobile solution to replace paper forms and enable real-time, verifiable records.

doForms supplied a smartphone-based mobile forms platform used by 850 community health workers to collect baseline data, photos, GPS and timestamps across a few hundred thousand households in Rwanda and to manage testing at 7,300 public water sites in West Bengal over four months. Using doForms’ conditional lookups and multimedia/GPS capture, DelAgua achieved near-real-time data access, eliminated data-cleaning needs, improved accountability for sample collection and results, and sped response to contamination—allowing the organization to scale efficiently and meet auditor and regulatory requirements.
