Stuytown Property Services manages an 11,246‑unit residential complex in Manhattan and handles more than 2,000 vacancy leases a year. Their leasing process was highly paper‑dependent—leases and guarantor forms could take 10–15 days to complete, required dedicated storage and staff, and produced a slow, error‑prone experience for tenants and staff.
To fix this, Stuytown integrated its MRI property‑management system with the DocuSign eSignature API using C#/.NET, adding template‑driven lease packets, an automated “Generate Lease” workflow, envelope routing, voiding, and counter‑signing. Built by three developers plus an analyst and QA in about 800 hours, the solution cut paper use by 90% and reduced lease execution time to under one hour, with plans to extend the integration to renewals.
