Restaurant Services, Inc. (RSI) is the supply chain manager for the Burger King® System, supporting procurement, distribution, and logistics for more than 7,000 U.S. restaurants and managing roughly $3B/year in transactions. RSI faced a paper‑heavy, slow contract process—about 250 contracts a month—resulting in high overnight shipping and labor costs, limited visibility into contract status, routing and compliance gaps, and no easy way to query contract data.
RSI built a “Contract Center” using Microsoft SharePoint, Nintex Workflow, DocuSign eSignature API, Drivve|Image, and lightweight .NET services; two developers scanned existing contracts, automated new workflows, and integrated DocuSign envelope tracking for real‑time status. The end‑to‑end digital system made contract turnaround drop from weeks to as few as two minutes, eliminated paper and overnight shipping, improved compliance and reporting, and provided a scalable platform for future growth.
