Petz Enterprises, Inc. (PEI), founded in 1974 and creator of the CrossLink tax-preparation product used by more than 1,800 firms, was processing over 3,000 paper contracts a year. The mail/fax/scan workflow averaged 14+ days, produced roughly a 20% error rate, increased consumable and postage costs, and slowed sales, compliance and CRM adoption.
PEI implemented DocuSign for Salesforce, enabling contract sending and signing directly from CRM with conditional fields and easy API integration. The change cut turnaround to three days (78% faster), reduced errors to nearly zero and compliance to nearly 100%, halved consumable costs, saved about 80 hours per year (and freed four support staff), and improved close rates and Salesforce usage.
