A DocuSign Case Study
The Oregon Health Authority (OHA), responsible for coordinating statewide health programs since 2009, struggled to manage a constant stream of complex, cross-agency contracts—from individual provider agreements to large coordinated care deals. Paper-driven, email-heavy processes and pandemic-driven remote work created severe bottlenecks: average contract cycles exceeded 90 days (and 200–300 days for solicitations) with limited visibility into approval status.
OHA implemented DocuSign CLM with Professional Services, templates, automated workflows, electronic signatures and user training to streamline routing and approvals. The result: major time savings and fewer errors—up to an 80% efficiency gain and 93% faster cycle times, with some contracts completed in under six days—plus real-time visibility via dashboards. OHA is expanding CLM to Medicaid contracts and uses ongoing CLM Boost support to maintain momentum.
