Nest Realty, a Virginia-based brokerage of 20 agents led by veteran associate broker Tina Merritt, needed a faster, more reliable way to get contracts signed for investor clients. Relying on faxes and in-person signatures created unreadable documents, long drives for clients, and hours of wasted agent time.

After adopting DocuSign in 2009, Nest streamlined contract workflows with mobile eSignatures and templates, giving agents clear visibility into signing status. The firm cut about 3–4 hours and 30–40 miles per closed transaction, saved 60–75 printed pages, expanded DocuSign use to 13 agents and internal agreements, and grew eSigned transactions from roughly 40 in 2010 to well over 100 in 2011 while improving client convenience and agent flexibility.
