Magna Powertrain, a global powertrain design and manufacturing supplier, faced a slow, manual purchasing workflow: employees and geographically dispersed suppliers printed, signed, scanned and emailed contracts, purchase orders, NDAs and other documents, creating a tedious process that could take up to two weeks, produced illegible records and put legal and industry compliance at risk.
By deploying DocuSign eSignature across about 110 purchasing users, Magna automated signature workflows and enabled mobile signing, document traceability and secure storage. The change cut signing time from 1–2 weeks to less than a day, improved compliance and visibility into approvals, reduced paper, ink and administrative costs, and prompted adoption across other departments.
