A DocuSign Case Study
HashChing is Australia’s first online home loan marketplace, connecting home buyers directly with mortgage brokers to disrupt the traditional banking model. Rapid interest created a bottleneck: signing up large numbers of brokers was slowed by archaic paper-based processes, distracting the team from product development and scaling the business.
HashChing adopted DocuSign’s e-Signature to digitize broker onboarding, speeding approvals, cutting printing and storage costs, improving compliance access and lowering its environmental footprint. The change accelerated registration (1,200 new brokers awaiting activation) and supported rapid growth — by January 2017 HashChing had processed close to 6,700 home loan applications worth $3,359 million, reached $1 billion in loan transactions within the first year and secured $1 million in funding from Sapien Ventures.
