A DocuSign Case Study
A Fortune 500 pharmaceutical company bound by a 2010 Corporate Integrity Agreement (and subject to Affordable Care Act–related reporting) faced a slow, paper‑based contract process that was difficult to track, prone to unauthorized edits, and required manual verification. Contract cycle times stretched three to six weeks, making it hard to consistently document physician deliverables and comply with internal and regulatory requirements.
In July 2012 the company implemented DocuSign to automate signature capture with secure, customizable templates (including GPS/time stamping), enforce non‑editable workflows, and enable mobile signing. The solution cut cycle times to about three days, eliminated unauthorized contract modifications, reduced paper chasing, improved compliance and user satisfaction, and has since been expanded to other forms and contracts.
