Florida State University Graduates Its Digital Experience With DocuSign eSignature

Florida State University needed to move away from slow, paper-based approvals that were creating bottlenecks across campus, especially for documents that had to be routed between departments. To support a more digital-first university experience, FSU adopted DocuSign eSignature to help streamline signatures for staff, students, HR, procurement, and academic workflows.

DocuSign implemented eSignature in phases, starting with small pilot groups and expanding across the university using reporting tools to track adoption and target improvements. The results were significant: FSU now processes about 100,000–200,000 envelopes per month with a roughly 90% successful transaction rate, has more than doubled active users, and has cut document turnaround from days to minutes.
