Preview of the Leading Netherlands-Based Bank Case Study

Electronic Signing in Banking Delivers a Productivity and Security Boost

A leading Netherlands-based bank that manages documents with OpenText ECM and runs workflows via K2 and SharePoint faced slow, paper-based signing—reports had to be physically signed—so it sought an electronic signature solution that would integrate with OpenText, K2, SharePoint and Microsoft Office while meeting EU and Dutch regulatory requirements and preserving security.

After a proof of concept the bank deployed the DocuSign Signature Appliance, integrating it with K2, SharePoint and OpenText; today hundreds of employees sign more than 50,000 Word, Excel and PDF documents annually from within their applications. The on‑premises solution shortened cycle times, ensured compliance and tamper-proof authenticity, centralized credentialing and is being rolled out to more departments with plans for digital case files and a customer signing portal.
