Neighborhood Credit Union, a Dallas–Fort Worth financial institution serving 56,000 members for over 90 years, faced a sudden challenge when COVID-19 closed in-branch services and demand for notarizations surged for wills, powers of attorney, retirement and lending documents. With member experience central to its mission and a prior push toward digital services, the credit union needed a fast, safe way to deliver notarizations remotely.
Neighborhood CU implemented DocuSign Notary (alongside DocuSign eSignature) to run secure live audio‑visual notarizations with ID verification and knowledge‑based authentication, automatically storing records and eliminating manual scanning. The result: faster, more convenient remote notarizations (about 10 minutes on average), reduced administrative work for notaries, and an expanded roadmap to use RON across lending, mortgage and HR processes as part of a broader digital service strategy.
