Copper CRM Introduces DocuSign eSignature Integration

Copper is a Google Cloud–recommended CRM built for G Suite that focuses on simplicity for sales teams. Customers asked for a way to send and track contracts without leaving the Copper UI, so Copper partnered with DocuSign to add native eSignature capabilities directly into CRM records.

Using DocuSign’s Ruby SDK, Copper implemented an embedded sending flow with Authorization Code Grant for secure authentication and DocuSign Connect webhooks to update envelope status in real time; signed documents are linked back to DocuSign to preserve privacy and storage. The integration launched in June 2019 with early adoption, reduced friction for contract workflows, and Copper plans future enhancements such as optional document retrieval and automated sending via workflows.
