Community Energy, L.P. is a Texas-licensed electricity aggregator that helps residential, small business, commercial and nonprofit customers pool buying power to secure lower rates. Because Texas energy prices can shift quickly, Community Energy’s paper-based contract process—often requiring signatures from many residents for group-rate deals—led to slow turnaround, lost rate opportunities and time-consuming administrative rework.

To fix this, Community Energy deployed DocuSign Corporate Edition eSignature integrated with Salesforce to generate, route (including simultaneous routing to multiple signers) and store contracts electronically. The integration sped up contract preparation and signing, reduced data-entry errors by auto-populating Salesforce fields, improved close rates by locking in prices before markets moved, and made agreements easier for customers to review and retain.
