Allies for Community Business (A4CB) is a nonprofit community financial development institution on Chicago’s West Side that provides grants, loans, and coaching to underserved entrepreneurs. When the pandemic made in-person meetings impossible, A4CB needed a fully digital, mobile-friendly loan process that cut processing time, protected client data, satisfied auditors, and expanded capacity to serve more small businesses.

A4CB implemented DocuSign eSignature and DocuSign ID Verification from the DocuSign Agreement Cloud, using branded templates and remote identity checks to eliminate paperwork and speed workflows. The change cut loan processing time from 30 to 15 minutes (50% time saved), increased monthly closings from 30 to 125 (4x) and scaled to meet peaks of 400 loans/month, while improving security, auditability, and the borrower experience.
