A DocuSign Case Study
Adlai E. Stevenson High School, a large district school of over 4,000 students in Lincolnshire, Illinois, faced a logistical challenge: mandatory guidebook acknowledgments and other forms created long lines and a week-long administrative burden during orientation, making it harder for staff to give students personal attention. Doug Kahler, the school’s director of Information Services, sought a way to streamline the process and preserve a welcoming, student-focused experience.
Stevenson implemented DocuSign eSignature to send guidebook acknowledgments and reminders electronically, cutting the orientation paperwork process from a week to a single day. The faster, paperless workflow reduced wait times, freed staff to engage with students, and has been expanded to parent consent forms and staff sign-offs—helping the school scale efficiency while maintaining personal connections.
