Schramm, a global manufacturer and supplier of top‑head hydraulic drilling rigs, struggled with slow, generic, printed parts books that couldn’t be updated in the field, forcing customers to rely on calls to Schramm’s Service Department. To address these issues, Schramm selected Documoto and its cloud publishing/interactive content platform—implemented as the Rig Instant Documentation (Rig'ID) portal—to provide secure, rig‑specific parts and service documentation to customers and dealers worldwide.
Documoto’s Professional Services configured Schramm’s cloud environment, trained publishing staff, migrated parts data and illustrations, and rolled out the Rig'ID portal for customers. As a result of Documoto’s solution, parts book production dropped from taking months to being completed in a few weeks, engineering updates can be pushed to field documentation with the press of a button, customer support improved, and auditors praised the organized, readily available documentation during an API audit.
