Excel Industries, a 50‑year leader in turf and mowing equipment with more than 1,600 U.S. dealers and 30 global distributors, faced widespread parts-data inaccuracies and a slow, publisher-controlled update process that sometimes took five to six months. Those delays led to wrong shipments, costly returns and damaged dealer trust, so Excel selected Documoto’s cloud-based digital publishing platform (a SaaS parts catalog and content management solution) to regain control of parts information and improve searchability for dealers.
Working with Documoto, Excel migrated thousands of documents into Documoto’s relational database and cloud library, trained internal users and dealers, and used Documoto account managers to streamline the rollout so changes propagate everywhere from a single edit. The result: update time dropped from months to about 45 minutes, dealer adoption rose to roughly 90% (over 75% within months), and inaccurate parts orders declined sharply—saving time and shipping costs while restoring dealer confidence.
