Platt Electric, a family-founded electrical supply company established in 1953 with about 900 employees serving six western states, faced slow, inefficient access to critical accounting records. Important documents were stored in 64 file cabinets at corporate plus hundreds more across 83 branches, requiring manual searches that delayed customer service and consumed valuable office space.

Platt implemented Document Locator, using two high-speed scanners and two interns to scan and index all records in under eight weeks and leveraging a dynamic link to pull AS400 data into document properties. As a result, staff can find documents in seconds rather than minutes, improving customer service and reducing physical storage needs.
