ICEC, a Houston‑based global marketer of fertilizer and raw materials, relied on email as the primary sales record, sending and receiving roughly 400–500 customer‑related messages per day with about 200 emails typically tied to a single sale. The growing volume of messages made it increasingly difficult to store, organize, and quickly locate the right communications when needed.

ICEC deployed Document Locator with the Email Rules Module to automatically import, profile, and full‑text index emails and attachments, capturing sender, recipient, date, and subject as searchable properties (mapped into Windows Explorer columns). Deployed to about 60 users on a clustered Dell server running Windows 2003/SQL Server, the solution sped capture and indexing and reduced email retrieval time from minutes to seconds.
