Sweetwater Valley Title, a long-established title company in Athens, Tennessee, was overwhelmed by daily paper records and growing file-storage needs. To replace its decades-old index-card system and improve access to closing and title documents, the company adopted DocStar’s Enterprise Content Management (ECM) imaging and retrieval solution.
DocStar implemented an imaging/retrieval system with customizable templates and two shared scanning stations, enabling Sweetwater Valley Title to digitize about 8,500–9,000 documents per month. The DocStar solution cut retrieval times from several minutes to seconds, reduced physical storage needs (freeing space for another closing office or staff), streamlined workflows, created an auditable closing trail, and enabled easy emailing/faxing of large closing packages directly from the system.
