ApolloMD, a fast‑growing Atlanta‑based emergency physician services company managing more than 20 emergency departments, struggled with overflowing paper files, slow manual processing, and frequent misfiling that drained staff time. To fix billing document backlogs and retrieval issues, ApolloMD partnered with DocStar and implemented DocStar Enterprise Content Management (ECM) with OCR.

DocStar’s ECM was deployed in billing operations (about 40 employees across nine hospitals) to scan 1,000–2,000 documents per day, batch by hospital, and automatically file items overnight. As a result, ApolloMD cut document‑retrieval time from many minutes to virtually zero, reallocated two full‑time filing staff to revenue‑generating collections, reduced storage/cabinet costs, and improved overall productivity and collections—clear, measurable gains delivered by DocStar.
