Franklin Foods, a 124-year-old cheese manufacturer in Boca Raton, FL, struggled with ineffective paper-based financial processes, arbitrary credit approvals, and resources wasted on manual procedures. To modernize AP and credit memo handling, Franklin Foods partnered with Epicor/Mosaic and implemented DocStar’s solutions — Epicor Content Management (DocStar) and DocStar Intelligent Data Capture.

DocStar digitized and automated AP and credit memo workflows, adding centralized document packages and a defined three-level approval process for credits. The implementation freed AP staff to focus on financial analysis and strategic work, provided visibility into credit trends for operational improvements, enabled a largely paperless process with dramatic reductions in paper, toner and energy use, and allowed Franklin Foods to redeploy and hire for higher-value priorities — outcomes credited to DocStar.
