Epicor Software Corporation, a global ERP provider with ~3,900 employees across 30 countries, needed greater efficiency in storage, access, and retrieval of employee personnel documents and stronger compliance with country-specific data and privacy rules. To replace sprawling paper files (ten U.S./Canada HR storage cabinets) and integrate with its UltiPro HCM, Epicor turned to Epicor Enterprise Content Management (DocStar).

DocStar’s Epicor ECM was deployed as region-specific SaaS sites and integrated with UltiPro to automate indexing, secure role-based access, enable redaction, and streamline document delivery (password-protected zip files). The solution simplified and sped HR document retrieval, reduced reliance on physical records, improved indexing accuracy and global compliance, and freed HR staff to focus on higher-value work.
