Trend Micro uses pdfDocs as PDF alternative to deliver significant cost savings and productivity gains

Trend Micro, a global leader in IT security, needed a cost-effective way for its 17 HR staff across Ireland, France, Italy and the UK to create, edit and securely distribute PDFs for contracts, resumes, appraisals and payroll. Their legal team’s PDF application was too expensive to deploy broadly, so Trend Micro was introduced to DocsCorp and its pdfDocs product (via partner Ascertus) to provide PDF creation, PDF-to-Word conversion and integration with their OpenText eDOCS system.

DocsCorp’s pdfDocs replaced manual print/redact/scan workflows with searchable redaction and approval workflows, enabled remote payroll approval with digital approval stamps, and automated commission statement distribution by extracting, password-protecting and emailing worksheets. In trials across two countries, the new process saved about 10 minutes per employee (example: 10 mins × 96 employees = 960 minutes, or 16 hours / 2 days per quarter) and reduced a task that previously took 21 managers ~3 days; DocsCorp also provided pdfDocs eLearning modules to accelerate adoption.
