Case Study: Stibbe achieves searchable access to 28 million documents and GDPR compliance with DocsCorp's contentCrawler

A DocsCorp Case Study

Preview of the Stibbe Case Study

How Stibbe used contentCrawler to index 28 million documents and emails for its enterprise search engine

Stibbe, an internationally-orientated Benelux law firm with over 375 lawyers, needed to ensure its enterprise search could find 100% of documents to meet GDPR data return, erase and portability requirements. Many of its files (scans, TIFFs, image-based PDFs) lacked a searchable text layer, so Stibbe turned to DocsCorp’s contentCrawler automated OCR solution to address non-searchable content without disrupting staff workflows.

DocsCorp configured contentCrawler as a set-and-forget solution that connects to file servers, email servers, the document management system and SharePoint to automatically convert image-based files into searchable PDFs for indexing. As a result, the enterprise search now indexes more than 28 million documents and emails, staff save time by avoiding manual OCR, and Stibbe can reliably meet GDPR search and data-handling requirements thanks to DocsCorp.
